Pellet press molds are hardened steel dies used to press powder samples into pellets or tablets with a regular geometry. Round, square, split, ring, special-shaped and custom-size molds are chosen according to the sample shape and the requirements of the experiment. Split molds allow fragile pellets to be removed without damage, while open-type molds make demolding easy for thicker samples.
| Mold Type | Description |
| Round mold | Standard cylindrical pellet; the most commonly used type |
| Square mold | Pressing samples with a square or rectangular section |
| Split mold | Body separates in two; fragile pellets are removed without damage |
| Ring mold | Pellets with a ring (centre hole) geometry |
| Open-type mold | Round or square; open body for easy demolding |
| Special shape / size | Custom diameter, thickness and geometry on request |
