A sodium cathode material with a layered transition metal oxide structure, using nickel, iron and manganese in equal proportions. Layered oxides offer higher specific capacity than polyanionic cathodes (≥130 mAh/g) and are positioned as the sodium counterpart to NCM cathodes in the lithium-ion world.
