A high-nickel ternary cathode widely used in electric vehicle batteries, delivering 210.3 mAh/g capacity. Its coarse 13-micron particle size raises electrode compaction density and increases energy per unit volume. Because of its high-nickel composition it must be protected from contact with moisture and CO2.
