Flattens the surface of metal foam (nickel, copper, etc.) electrodes so they fit the anode chamber properly and are better wetted by the electrolyte.
Press thicknesses are colour-coded: 0.3 mm (blue), 0.5 mm (purple) and 1.0 mm (red). The foam is placed in the groove and pressed by tightening the screws diagonally; maximum pressed area is 25 × 25 mm.
