A ready-made electrolyte formulated specifically for cells with silicon-carbon anodes. LiPF6 is dissolved in an EC and EMC blend, with an FEC-weighted additive package. The large volume change of silicon during charging demands a mechanically robust SEI, and the FEC additive is used at high proportions to meet this need.
