Copper foil serving as the current collector for anode electrodes. Because aluminum alloys with lithium at the low potential of the anode side, copper is used there instead. Its 461.0 MPa tensile strength is more than double that of aluminum foil, which allows it to be handled even at thicknesses as low as 8 microns.
