The rotating electrode stand is a multi-position benchtop holder that keeps rotating disk (RDE) and rotating ring-disk (RRDE) electrode tips upright with their surfaces facing up. In RDE work, catalyst ink is drop-cast onto the disk while the tip is turned upside down with the disk surface facing up. The stand holds the tips steady during this step, and between measurements it helps keep polished disk surfaces protected from knocks and scratches.
The stand consists of a metal platform with sockets for the tip connections, standing on adjustable feet. It is not a rotator (motor) and does not spin the electrodes. Because tip connection types differ (US type with external or internal thread, or Japan type), please tell us which tip types you use before ordering.
