The E1000 series simple electrode stand holds the electrodes above a small electrolytic cell in three-electrode measurements (working, counter and reference). Keeping the electrodes in the same positions in every run reduces differences caused by electrode spacing and improves repeatability.
The holes in the PTFE support head depend on the model: the E1006 has three Φ6.5 mm and two Φ2 mm holes, while the E1008 to E1016 models have one large hole (Φ8.5 to Φ16.5 mm), two Φ6.5 mm and two Φ2 mm holes. Choose the model by the thickest electrode body you will use. The matching cell fits tightly into the head but is not gas-tight, so the stand can be used for gas-purged tests.
