A test mold that keeps pressure constant via a spring assembly at its base. In a fixed-volume mold, when the cell changes thickness during charge-discharge the applied pressure changes too, turning pressure into an uncontrolled variable in long cycling tests. The spring absorbs the thickness variation and holds pressure constant, making long-term cycling data interpretable.
