The most critical issue in solid-state cells is inadequate solid-solid contact between electrode and electrolyte; this mold applies manual compression to deliver stable, controllable interfacial pressure and so lower interfacial resistance. It makes reproducible data attainable in ionic conductivity measurement and cycling performance testing.
